Biography

Born in Southern France, Ambre Vuillermoz is one of the most promising french accordionist of

her generation.

 

A tireless advocate for her instrument's repertoire, she has appeared all over Europe in solo, chamber music, ensemble and orchestral performances.

She also works regularly with composers and has performed many premieres.

​

She has been a prizewinner or finalist at several national and international music competitions. Her studies and projects have also been supported by several foundations.

​

Ambre received her Bachelor of Music and Pedagogy at Dijon University in 2016. Since then she has been studying at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg in Germany, with renowned accordionist Stefan Hussong, and received her Master of Music in performance with highest distinctions in 2018.

​

Ambre now studies at the CNSMDP in Paris (3rd cycle for contemporary music) and the HfM Würzburg (3rd cycle for accordion), also pursuing a Master in musicology.

​

In addition to her activities as a performer, she approaches music as a social construction tool, through workshops and concerts in front of different types of audiences, from music schools to jails or hospital.

​

She is accordion and chamber music teacher at the Conservatoire du 6ème arrondissement in Paris.

​

Ambre is also artist in residence at the Cité des arts in Paris since september 2019.
